It shows how much you save by buying from us instead of from leading online jewelry retailers. Because we design and manufacture every piece in our own New York workshop, with no middlemen, we can price our jewelry well below what comparable pieces cost elsewhere. The crossed-out price on each product, our “comp. value,” shows that difference.

What is comp. value?

Comp. value is our estimate of what you would typically pay for a comparable piece at other leading jewelers. To set it, we:

• Find comparable products at leading online jewelry retailers and leading chain specialty jewelers.
• Track the prices those products actually sell for, rechecking them every month.
• Set our comp. value at or below the average price of those comparable products, across each product category.

How we match comparable products

We compare like with like. Products are matched by:

• Diamond origin: lab-grown diamonds are compared only to lab-grown, and natural only to natural
• Diamond characteristics: certification, shape, carat weight, color grade, clarity grade, and fluorescence
• Metal: precious metal type and karat
• Product type: engagement ring, wedding band, eternity band, earrings, bracelet, necklace, and so on

Why we do it this way

Checking these prices every month lets us show you a real savings figure, not an invented one. It also keeps our own prices honest: if the market moves, we know about it and adjust.
